Benefits of Setting Up Parent/Guardian Accounts
THE SOURCE
This useful resource for parents and guardians has real-time access to:
Student grades and assignment details. With real-time access to grades via the Source, student progress reports will no longer need to be mailed.
Student class schedules with the ability to email your student's teachers directly from The Source.
Assessment scores (SBA ELA & Math, EOC Algebra & Biology).
Attendance and Library information (overdue books, fees due).
Schoology Access Codes (needed to create your Schoology Account).
SCHOOLOGY
Teachers may use this system to communicate with students and parents, if they have an account, about coursework, assignments, and homework due.
Teachers can send emails and connect directly to parents and guardians with important classroom information and upcoming events.
View your student's class calendar, assignments and posted due dates.
How To Get Setup on The Source and/or Schoology
Go to ps.seattleschools.org or the Student Portal at the top of the BHS website. Login with your email and password OR select "Sign Up" if you have not yet registered for a Source Account and follow the instructions.
The Source screen with student information will display. Select "Schoology Access Codes" from the menu on the left and copy the access code.
Choose "Sign up for Schoology LMS" and enter your access code and "Continue". Follow the online instructions to set up your account.The Schoology screen will display with your student's course schedule.
Select the "drop down arrow" by your student's name to add another student or to set up the type of notifications you would like to receive.
