What's New at ISP?

ISP has the ideal space to further your team goals.

The ISP field set-up can't be beat with full infields and outfields, portable pitcher's mounds, L- Screens, and anything else you need to run infield and outfield drills.

We have both permanent batting cages and portable cages that pull out onto the fields as part of group practice sessions.

You can hit live on the field space without worrying about poles, beams and other obstructions.

ISP is perfect for team training and scrimmages and gives you the opportunity to train indoors before you get outside.

Check out the best option for training and scrimmages anywhere in the region. Contact Jeff Walder to book your pre-season space for 2017.

Athletes and Positive Thoughts

Positive thinking is a mental and emotional attitude that focuses on the bright side of life and expects positive results.

  • A positive athlete seeks out happiness, health and success, and believes he or she can overcome any obstacle they're faced with during competition.
  • Positive thinking is certainly not practiced by everyone but there is a growing number of people who accept positive thinking as a necessary way to play sports, and believe in its effectiveness.
  • As of late, this thought process is gaining popularity, especially in the athletic arena, as shown by the many books, lectures and courses by current and former professional athletes around the world.
  • To use it in your life, both on and off the field, you need more than to just be aware of its existence. You need to adopt the attitude of positive thinking in everything you do.
  • As parents, coaches, and players we can all benefit from the power of positive thinking when it comes to our youth athletes.

DID YOU KNOW? MONEY IN SPORTS EDITION

Courtesy of "For the Win Sports-USA Today"

1. Jordan Spieth won $61,867 less at the Masters than Arnold Palmer won in his entire career.

2. Bulls and White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf continued to pay Michael Jordan his reported $4 Million basketball salary while he was experimenting with baseball.

3. There are 18 minutes of total action in a baseball game.

4. When the Americans defeated favorite England in the 1950 World Cup, the story goes that many newspapers around the world believed the 1-0 score to be a typo and instead printed that England won 10-1.
