Mrs. Ellison-Taylor's election comes in light of an industry wide debate to promote diversity and equality in the workplace.

"Women make up about 50% of new certified public accounts in the US, yet represent only 14.3% of executive officer positions and 19% of partners at CPA firms, according to AICPA's own research from 2013.
While there has been a 2% increase in the number of female leaders at accounting firms with more than 50 staff in the US (15% in 2010 compared with 17% in 2013), there remains a significant disparity to equalize."

NABA is honored to have Mrs. Ellison-Taylor as a Lifetime Member and we hope that you are able to view her inauguration online today.  To read about Mrs. Ellison-Taylor's journey in NABA's 2015 Winter Spectrum magazine, click here.
