City Council Approves Site Plan for $65,000 Exterior Renovation


Westland, MI - City Council has approved a  revised site plan for proposed exterior renovations to the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant building located 34015 Ford Road.

The property is located on the south side of Ford Road, east of Wildwood Avenue. KFC plans to update the exterior of the building, providing new exterior branding in the form of exterior lights and awnings, signage and new paint finishes. The total cost of construction on this project is $65,000.

"The City of Westland is proud to see another Westland business reinvesting in their property," commented Mayor William R. Wild.  This restaurant has held a prominent spot on Ford Rd. for many years."

"We are seeing additional re-investments in the Westland DDA District on both the Ford Rd and Wayne Rd. corridors which speaks to the strong local economy in Westland,"  commented DDA President Michael Londeau.
