The 2016 presidential election is just a few short weeks away when millions of Americans will exercise their right to vote. We've all heard the promises, plans, debates and debacles, and many people still remain uncertain about what the next president will do for the country and for us all. While we can't control the outcome of the election and what may follow, we can take control of our own piece of the world. It's time to cast a Vote for YOU.

Now Is The Time To Do It
You may be wondering if I'm suggesting that you write your own name on the ballot. Well, no, I'm not. Although...
So what does it mean to cast a Vote for YOU? It means taking control of the things you can contr ol. It means investing a bit of time in yourself to ensure that your own house  is in order and functioning well for you and your family. If you've been meaning to get organized, now is the time to do it.

Casting a Vote for YOU means getting your 'affairs in order'. We generally hear this phrase used in serious situations that require our immediate attention. Often we are in crisis mode and don't have the luxury of time to sort through the legalities that may be required. If you've been meaning to get your affairs in order, or help a  loved one through the process, now is the time to do it.

We are a nation of excess, and many of us live with much more than we could ever need, or even want. Our closets are overflowing with the bargains we couldn't pass up. We buy in bulk because it sounds like a good deal. We hold on to things 'in case we need them someday'. Cast a Vote for You. If you've considered letting go of some things and donating, now is the time to do it.
Doing Good and Having Peace of Mind
You may think it's easier said than done, and some things do require more effort than others. But it will be well worth the time spent. Take a few minutes each day to restore order to the rooms that saw the most action. Create a daily habit to remove the 'visual noise' that the whole family can follow. A visually calm space is a vote for everyone in your home.

Review your family's important documents and ensure all are current. Do you have adequate life insurance? Do you need to create a will or homestead? Do your investments need adjusting? These may take some time to explore, so make a date with yourself, and loved ones as needed, to review them all.

If you get caught in an avalanche every time you open a closet door, it's time to share your bounty. There are countless charities, shelters and organizations that would welcome all that you have to offer. You will feel good about lightening your load knowing you have helped others truly in need.
While we can't always know what our elected officials have in store for the future, there are lots of things we can do to keep our homes and lives organized. everyday ORGANiZiNG can help. Exercise your right to vote, and cast Vote for You!
