Mill Village Christmas

The Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Valley and the Valley Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the Inaugural Mill Village Christmas Arts and Crafts Festival on opening day of th e M erry-Go-Round at the Historic Langdale Mill. 
The Arts and Crafts Festival will be open to the public on December 3rd from 10 am to 5 pm EST. 


December 13th

Open House

Ribbon Cutting 

The River Apartment Homes formerly Crest Club will have an Open House and Ribbon Cutting on December 13th. 
The Open House will be from 5:00 p.m. - 7 p.m. EST. The Ribbon Cutting will be at 5:45 p.m. EST. Please join the Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce in seeing all the upgrades and changes under the new name.

Fredonia Heritage Day is back again this year with early holiday shopping arts and craft vendors. Admission is free. Featuring music, craft demonstrations, children's fun and learning activities, food, and much more! November 5th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST at Fredonia Community House, 6160 Chambers County (AL) Road 222.

November 5th - Vendor Village and Diaper Drive





 
The Chambers County Fair will be at The Oaks in LaFayette on November 12th and 13th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be artist demos, live music, handmade wares, tasty treats, and more. November 12th - Resurrect Antiques Christmas Open House

Looking to do some early Christmas Shopping. Check out Resurrect Antiques Christmas Open House November 12th from 10 am EST to 6 pm EST in Valley, AL. 


November 18th - West Point Loins Club Annual Chicken-Que
 
The West Point Loins Club is hosting their Annual Chicken-Que on Friday, November 18th . Tickets are $7.00 and will include ½ chicken, chips, slaw, and bread. Plates can be picked up at the West Point Presbyterian Church from 10 am to 1 pm. All proceeds go to the Georgia Lions Lighthouse or other local charities.
 
December 2nd - December 24th - 60th Annual Christmas Merry-Go-Round
 
The Annual Christmas Merry-Go-Round is celebrating its 60th Anniversary. Hours will vary. Please contact the City of Valley for more information at 334-756-5290.


December 3rd - Rock 4 Tots

The Iris h Bred Pub will host Rock 4 Tots for Toys for Tots on December 3rd at 7 p.m. Cover will be $10 or a new unwrapped toy gets you a night with 5 amazing bands and   the awesome feeling of giving a local child a gift on Christmas! 





December 4th - Old Fashioned Christmas Open House at the Chambers County Museum

Please join the Chambers County Museum during their Christmas Open House on December 4th from 2:00 pm CST to 4 pm CST at the Old Depot, 1st Avenue S.W., Lafayette, AL. If you have never visited the Chambers County Museum now is the time. 
 

The Kiwanis Club of Valley, Alabama, is pleased to announce that Three On A String will be performing a Christmas theme concert on Sunday afternoon, December 4th, at 3 p.m. EST at the Langdale Auditorium. All tickets are reserved and can be ordered by sending a check to the Kiwanis Club Valley, 6301 26th Avenue, Valley, AL 36854. Tickets are $20 for the floor seating and $15 for balcony seating. 

 
The Annual Tri-City Christmas Parade will be Thursday, December 8th at 6 p.m. EST. Come enjoy the parade, which starts in West Point, GA, on 3rd Avenue, continues through Lanett and ends up in Valley, AL, along Highway 29.

Alicia Lyles, GVACC Board Member
Federal Programs Director
Chambers County School System

Alicia Lyles is the Federal Programs Director for the Chambers County School System. She works on budgeting and spending of the Title I, Title II and Title VI funds for Chambers County. She currently serves as the Liaison between the school system and the community for Homeless, English Learners and she is the liaison to the state department for the Alabama Teachers Mentoring Program.
 
Alicia Lyles has 27 years of experience in education including positions as a classroom teacher, a high school guidance counselor and Federal Programs Director.
