Dr. Richard "Dickie" Yelverton

What does St. Andrews Cathedral mean to me? So much it is difficult to say. My passion for this beautiful old cathedral has been its preservation and continued improvement. I've been a steward of our spaces, and by extension, our community, though my hands.

It has been my family's spiritual home for decades as Sally and I were confirmed here 60 years ago. Our children and grandchildren have received their baptism and confirmation before this altar. Most have been married here. Friends and family have been laid to rest on the Western Lawn. The clergy have always been at our side during our darkest times. Our stewardship is given meaning through the connections and traditions our family has laid here, together.

My hope is that we will all continue to express our gratitude and support this wonderful old Cathedral and its parish family with our financial means and participation. Join us on Consecration Sunday, October 8 th for worship  at 10:00 a.m. and the complimentary lunch catered by Walker's, when we can each do our part to build the future of our Cathedral community.
