Happy Halloween
Wishing you a Safe and
Happy Halloween!
Dear Parents,

Prairie Grove Elementary School will be holding our annual Halloween parade and parties on Friday, October 28th.   The parade will start promptly at 2:00 p.m.   Only room parents who are helping with the parties will be allowed in the building after the parade at 2:15.  Snacks will be provided by the PTO. Please do not send your child to school in costume. All students should carry them to school.  Please insure that your child's costume is school-appropriate and not violent in nature.

Weather permitting, the parade will take place around the blacktop behind the elementary school (NOT the walking path).  P arents can view the parade by standing around the outside of the blacktop behind the cones .  If weather is not permitting, the parade will take place inside and the parents will view the parade from the designated halls and the elementary gym only.  Maps for both indoor and outdoor routes are available by clicking on the following link: Outdoor and Indoor Parade Maps

As you know, the parking lot fills up quickly.  We will provide a shuttle bus from Snap-On to the school beginning at 1:15 p.m. If you arrive to school after 1:45, it is highly recommended that you go directly to Snap-on to park.   Parking at Snap-On is on the western side of the building.
Enter off of Valley View.

After the parade, parents will load the busses to return to Snap-On in the PG bus parking lot which is on the
eastern-most side of our school.

Please do not park at Gianelli's Restaurant.

Assuming the parade is outside, we ask that the parents walk around the outside of the building to get to the blacktop and do not enter the building. If the parade is inside, we will not be allowing parents into the building until 1:50 p.m. to view the parade.  Let's cross our fingers and hope for good weather!

We respect that for personal or religious reasons, not all parents want their children to participate in the parade or parties. The school day before 2:00 p.m. will be a typical day of learning.  If you prefer your child to participate in non-Halloween activities at the end of the day, please let your child's teacher know.

Thank you for following the above guidelines to keep our children safe and to insure they all have fun.

Sincerely,

Martha Maggiore
Principal
