Greetings Eagle Chapter Members and Friends

In May of this year, I began a discussion with Sig Sauer and two other gun manufacturers where the purpose was to find a donor for at least one 9MM weapon to cap off our celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the US Air Force Security Forces.  On May 30, their representative informed me that they would participate and provide a certificate that would authorize the bearer of their P320 Nitron Carry weapon.
On July 10, I received the certificate and since then it's been in the bottom shelf of my freezer.  An AF lawyer once told me that was the safest place in your home to put a will.
We formed our committee to establish the rules and on July 20, we announced the start of the raffle ticket purchase with the rules and tickets being available on our website.  We decided that the final luncheon, today, would be the day when the raffle purchases will end.  Back then October 10 seemed a long way off.
The purpose of this email is announce that only hours remain.  All ticket purchases can be made up until 2359/1159PM Eastern tonight.  Go to the Eagle Exchange page to purchase your tickets online.

As of today, 175 tickets have been purchased. On Saturday, we will conduct the raffle and immediately notify the one winner.  For those of you who said you never win and this is just a donation, we thank-you.
This mailing includes the four luncheon attendees who bought tickets at the chapter's Pentagon luncheon.  Thank-you all. Please see weapon details below and on our website.

Very respectfully,

Lee

Sig Sauer - Winner of the Army's Modular Handgun System -  Donates the P320 Nitron Carry

Sig Sauer P320 Nitron Carry

We are delighted to have this premier weapons manufacturer as our partner for this event.

The purpose of the raffle is to provide another event to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Air Force Security Forces.  Other events include celebratory luncheons at Dover AFB DE (Sep 26), Langley AFB VA (June 5), and the Pentagon (Oct 10).

The weapon specifications are highlighted below.

So when is the drawing being held?

Now that you have the details of the weapon, when is the drawing being held?  We are selling raffle tickets through October 10 at 2359/1159PM.

No more tickets may be purchased after that time.  On/about October 14, we will have a raffle that will include a disinterested party.  Once we have notified the winner, we will also notify all participants via email.

For details of the process, please click here.

What if I want to buy more tickets?

Easy - Peasy!  All you have to do is go to our website. Click on the Eagle Exchange Page and make your order.

Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00.  You can also find the rules of engagement and other information by starting at the Eagle Exchange page.

Any questions, you can also give me a holler.

What if I lost my ticket?
The ticket is not needed to claim your prize.  We enter all ticket information in a spreadsheet that tracks all purchases. Once the spreadsheet is updated, I mail it to two other parties.  The raffle will be conducted via a software program that will randomly select the winning ticket number.

What happens to start the process to obtain the weapon?

As I noted earlier, Eagle Chapter didn't buy the weapon. Sig Sauer donated the weapon that they will provide through a certificate that authorizes the bearer of the certificate to claim the weapon through them.

When the winning ticket is drawn, I will complete the certificate with the winner's information and send it to him or her via certified mail. I will also inform the winner via email and phone call.

The winner has until December 31, 2017 to claim the weapon.

Once the raffle ticket is drawn, only the winner of the raffle can claim the weapon.  The certificate is not transferable.  If you want your spouse or kids/grandkids to have a chance to win this weapon, please buy a ticket or tickets.

Again, tickets can be purchased on our website.  Click here.

If you prefer, orders can also be sent to our post office box; but, be mindful of the deadline.  All orders must be received as noted above.

In closing, we are providing this one-time raffle on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of our Air Force Security Forces.  The graphic above shows the SF leadership through the 20 years.  You can also see a version of this on our website.

One of you sent me an anonymous package that included photos and a brief summary of all of the AP, SP, and SF leadership and chiefs since we've had  Air Police, Security Police, or Security Forces with a caution not to forget all of our leaders.  He or she also printed and sent the image on our website that identifies the top cops and chiefs of the 20 years.  Point well taken - and I have not forgotten them.  The purpose of our events this year though was to recognize the Security Forces 20th Anniversary. Thank-you - whoever you are - for taking the time to put this together.  It will always be in our files.

Thanks

Very best regards,

Lee
