Cherry Brook Health Care Center hosts August Chamber Business After Hours
About 25 members and guests were treated to an enjoyable evening of networking, conversation, and fabulous food. Hosts Rebecca Stephenson, Admissions Director, and Jacob Bompastore, Center Administrator, introduced their staff and welcomed everyone to the 100-bed facility at the top of Dyer Avenue in Canton. Cherry Brook is a not-for-profit member of the New Horizons family. The delicious food was the highlight of the evening, and Rebecca assured everyone that the residents enjoyed the same fine cuisine. Cherry Brook Health Care Center is the 2016 Business of the Year, proudly displaying their award by the reception desk. CBHCC is a HERO level sponsor of the upcoming
Walk for Food & Fuel on Saturday, Sept 16th, organized by Focus on Canton to help needy Canton residents with food, monetary assistance and heating oil. Chamber President, Gary Roman, spoke briefly about upcoming Chamber events, especially the annual Stars of the Town at 41 Bridge Street on Friday, October 27th. Each member gave a business overview to round out the evening's program.

2018 Vienna & Prague - Eastern Europe Trip
The Canton Chamber of Commerce invites its members and the community to experience the jewels of
Eastern Europe - Vienna and Prague for only $2699 from March 20 to 27, 2018.
Oliver Bergeron, President of C I Destinations, will  present a detailed visual description of the trip to Eastern Europe's principle cities of Vienna and Prague.
The
trip presentation will take place at the Canton Community Center on Wednesday, Sept. 13th at 5:30 PM.
Anyone attending the presentation will receive the optional side trip to Kutna Hora for free.
This is the second trip that is being sponsored by the Canton Chamber of Commerce. Brochures are available in the Chamber office.

Gallery on the Green presents: "Autumn Members Exhibition"plus 2 solo exhibits
Friday, Sept. 1st - Sunday, Oct.1,
The Gallery on the Green presents "Autumn Members  Exhibition" and two solo shows. The 100+ members of one of Connecticut's longest running artist guilds are showing new and exciting prints, paintings, photographs and sculptures.
The gallery is located in Canton at 5 Canton Green Road (corner of Dowd Ave. and Rt.44). The gallery is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm. The main 1st floor Founders Gallery is handicapped accessible.

Sam Collins Birthday Bash at the Canton Historical Museum
The Canton Historical Museum is holding a Sam Collins  Birthday Bash on Sunday, September 24th to celebrate Sam Collins' birthday. The Museum participated in Sam Collins Day the last two years it was held and drew a good crowd. We plan on having mini talks throughout the day, live demonstrations on loom weaving, spinning, black smithing, classic cars displayed, pony rides and face painting for the kids, hot dog and Canton Museum soda sales, and activities on the river.
