PRAY... for our first evangelism event: a
workshop on "Adapting to My New Life in Chile
". This coming Wednesday evening Jim will lead a mini-conference targeting the many immigrants who are arriving to downtown Santiago. Pray that people will come and that we would be given opportunities to share the Gospel.
PRAY... for our outreach strategy and efforts. Our initial plan is to offer conferences once or twice per month at our ministry location on topics of popular interest such as marriage; parenting; success; and similar topics.
PRAY... for our weekly worship events which will begin on
September 3.
A plan has been made for the core group to invite friends and contacts to our house church for Bible teaching time Sundays at noon. Pray that a group of worshipping Christians would grow!
PRAY... for the beginning of classes at
"Casa Betesda"
- our rehabilitation center for handicapped young adults, at the original church location in Santiago. Starting in September, Liisa will be assisting with music therapy.
PRAY... for Jim as he guides the many new missionaries getting ready to deploy through GLO to Tanzania, Ethiopia, Guatemala (two!) and Chile. Pray that these committed Christians will discover their team of prayer and financial support in order to serve where God is calling. To learn more, check out: globallutheranoutreach.com.
