These brief "classifieds" are intended to keep the members of the Diocese abreast of programs and activities in our parishes, share position openings throughout the Diocese, and to let others know if we have excess good/items they might be able to use. As in many "Classified Ads", articles should not exceed 150 words in length (total, and no graphics) and may be submitted to J.D. Lafrance ( [email protected] ) no later than Wednesday 10 a.m. each week for distribution via e-mail to the Diocese later that day. Text should be in the body of an email or in an attached Word document. Interfaith Thanksgiving Gathering & Reception on Tuesday, November 22nd at 7:00 p.m. Center City Residents Association (CCRA) has once again enlisted Buddhist, Christian, Humanist, Islamic, and Jewish faith communities to sponsor an Interfaith Thanksgiving gathering so that residents may offer thanks in their respective traditions. Forums/Discussion Groups

Sunday Faith Forum - Sunday, November 20th at 11:15 a.m. in MacColl Auditorium at St. Thomas' Church, Whitemarsh - Last summer, the Rev. Marek Zabriskie, walked over 500 miles across the northern coast of Spain along the Camino del Norte to Santiago de Compostela - a different route from the one he took in 2014. Over 200,000 people walk part of the Camino each year, but most take the Camino Francés. Pilgrims learn vital lessons that can be applied to our everyday life and journey as Christians. Enjoy slides and spiritual wisdom for daily living as the Rev. Marek Zabriskie takes us on a journey across Spain.

St. James Episcopal Church, Kingsessing will hold its last ECW Fundraising Luncheon for 2016 on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Parish House, 6838 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. The menu consists of Shepherds' pie with all its "trimmings". Dessert, coffee, tea and of course, good company. There will also be a bake, book, plant sale, among other things. Rummages/Fairs/Flea Markets

St. Alban's Christmas Program - Saturday, December 3rd , 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Please Join us for Carols, Crafts, StARR's Model Train Display and Refreshments. We invite our neighbors, family and friends to join us for an afternoon of music, crafts, and fellowship. Help decorate our Mitten Tree with: hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, socks, - *Just make sure the items are NEW and COZY! Or bring a canned good for St. Mark's Shelter. Services

Holy Spirit, Harleysville will hold the Monthly Midweek Taize Service of sung prayers, readings and silent meditation with themes anticipating the beginning of Advent at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 17. Healing prayers and laying-on-of-hands will be available. A potluck supper for those who wish to share a meal will begin at 6:30 p.m. Child care is available. All are welcome.

Calling all Jazz lovers and enthusiasts!
Bootsie Barnes, the tenor saxophonist, will be performing at the  Church of  Ss. Andrew & Monica on  December 10, 2016 from 2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tickets are  $20 and can also be purchased at the door. Doylestown Borough Homes Decorated for the Season and enjoy Tea at the parish hall. Advance Tickets ($25) are available through December 1st. Holiday Boutique opens at 5 p.m. on Friday and at 11 a.m. on Saturday with free admission, featuring Bake Table, boxed butter cookies, raffles, Christmas Attic. Music

Exciting local music is coming to Incarnation Holy Sacrament Episcopal Church . Starting in September, and running through the fall and winter months, IHS Drexel Hill will be hosting a Coffee House Open Mic and Concert Series. We'll bring in two local musicians to play longer sets and open the rest of the time up for members of the audience to share songs. The Food Pantry of St. Luke's Germantown is in Need of Shopping Carts for our elderly clients to take their food items home. If you would be so kind as to help us in this endeavor; our clients would greatly appreciate it and so would we! Church Services

ECW of  House of Prayer Episcopal Church , located at 1747 Church Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19141, is having  Prayer Meetings the  third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m., in the Parish Hall. Feel free to bring a snack. Everyone is welcome.

Accomodations/Space for Rent

Grace Epiphany Church is located in Mount Airy at 224 East Gowen Avenue. It is within walking distance of the Mount Airy Train station and the Route 23 bus stop. Grace Epiphany has A Large Light Filled Auditorium (Cline) with a Stage. It is connected to a restaurant size, fully equipped kitchen. Cline has a capacity of at least 125 people. Additionally, there is a large conference room and four smaller conference rooms. All of these rooms have been and are used for wedding receptions, meetings, showers, parties and other events. The newly renovated  Gift Shop at  St. David's Episcopal Church in Wayne, PA, can help meet your needs for religious items for adults and children that include bibles, prayer books, crosses (both jewelry and wall crosses), inspirational cards, calendars and books, as well as non-religious gifts for the home, family and friends. Items purchased by churches/clergy for ministry purposes will receive a 10% discount; and those purchases will be tax free. All proceeds from items sold will benefit St. David's outreach programs in Haiti, Uganda and Guatemala. Saint Michael's Episcopal Church in Yeadon, PA (just southwest of Philadelphia) is seeking a talented, joyful, engaging and industrious Part-Time Minister of Music (5 to10 hours/weekly) to develop further, lead, and grow our music program. Volunteers needed at the Cathedral Food PantryEvery Monday the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral Food Pantry distributes nourishing food to 150 households. We need help with food distribution on Mondays and help with receiving the food on alternate Wednesdays. Teachers

St. Paul's Elkins Park , a multicultural and inclusive Episcopal Church, is looking for Two Paid Sunday School Teachers to teach two classes - Ages 5 to 10 and ages 11 to 15.
