Sherry Lynn Award
Currituck County Cooperative Extension is proud to announce that Sherry Lynn, County Extension Administrative Assistant, has been awarded the 2016 Northeast District Distinguished Service Award. This award was presented at the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association State Meeting, held this past September in Greensboro, NC.

4-H
Open House

Currituck Extension will host a 4-H Open House on Saturday, November 19th, from 2:00-5:00pm. Activities include, Robotics, Public Speaking, 4-H Projects, Sewing, Animal Science, Shooting Sports, Citizenship and much, much more. This is a free event for the entire family. This will be a fun, interactive, and exciting event that you don't want to miss! 
Holiday Flower Arrangement Class

Deck the Halls with boughs of Holly! Fa la la la la....Wait, how exactly do I do that? Well you are in luck! The NC Cooperative Extension Service will be hosting a "Deck the Halls: Holiday Flower Arrangement Class" on December 15th from 10am until 12pm at the Currituck County Center at 120 Community Way in Barco.
Cookie Mix 
in a Jar Workshop

Join us on December 10th from 10am - 12pm for a fun morning baking cookies and preparing cookie mixes in a jar. Participants will be able to take 3 varieties of cookie mixes home after the workshop. Class space is limited to adults and reserved for the first 12 who pay their $10 class fee.
County Corner
Currituck County will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new athletic fields at Currituck Community Park on November 21st. Find out more here.
