Artist Resource: Steps Forward
Marguerite Dibble, founder of GameTheory, was the plenary speaker at last week's Vermont Creative Network convening.

Marguerite Dibble knows how to get things done.

Marguerite was among the more than 50 creative sector leaders attending the Vermont Creative Network convening last week. In her plenary, Marguerite told the story of GameTheory. This start-up gaming company harnesses the power of play for social change and models several best practices for moving forward in business that also apply to achieving personal or creative goals:
*    Destroy the sense of impossibility by creating clear steps toward success.
*    Take breathers.
*    Celebrate progress.

Creating clear milestones helps us focus on segments of what we want to achieve. The larger idea of what we want to create might be daunting, but small steps will get us there. And if we allow ourselves time to rest and reflect, we will have the energy to celebrate successes.

Whatever your project is - a personal goal, an artistic undertaking, or social change - these three points will help you find the way.
