Facing Challenges with Dementia 
Part 1 of 3: Coping with Challenges and Accepting Your Loved One's Journey

Validation is a powerful method that is used to achieve positive outcomes. This presentation will cover challenging situations we encounter as caregivers. We will discuss alternative approaches offered by Validation, which has been proven to be effective in communicating with a loved one living with memory loss.

Temple Mountain
& the History of Skiing
with Mike Beebe

With a very active 72 year skiing history, Mike Beebe has many interesting stories to share. Son of the founders of Temple Mountain ski area in Peterborough, Charlie and Lucy Beebe of Hollis, Mike grew up on the slopes.
 
Mike eventually took over for his parents and ran Temple Mountain for 20 years. Join Mike as he talks about the history of skiing and the many changes in the sport he has seen, running Temple Mountain, and his new book: My Cathedral Temple Mountain.

DIY Spa Day

Join HSL librarians to DIY your way to some fabulous homemade spa products. We will make a homemade moisturizer, PH restoring toner and a chocolate body scrub. Make them for yourself or give them away as gifts! All supplies will be provided but if you have a favorite essential oil, please feel free to bring it along. We will have several options available.

Teen Mystery Dinner Party

Join us for dinner and a murder at the Library! Get your glam gear ready for an exciting night at the Teen Idol Awards!
 
Polar Express Winter Wonderland Party (Ages 5+)

Miss Jackie will be joining us to sing holiday songs. Wear your PJs and bring a blanket. Enjoy a story, sing-along, cookies and hot chocolate. Parents, please feel free to drop your child(ren) off and get those last minute holiday errands done!
