Business Buzz
The Chamber is starting a new series to focus on our Chamber members in business.  It is called  Business Buzz .  The owner of the business will share his/her philosophy on running the business, how long the business has been established, and a description of the business.  We will feature this section in the next newsletter.  It will also include a picture or logo.

All you have to do is fill out the requested information.  We run them in the order that we receive them.  
 
 
TN Promise Mentors Needed
Do you have one hour per month to help students in your community transition from high school to college? tnAchieves, local partnering organization to Gov. Haslam's TN Promise, needs 9,000 mentors to work with high school students from the Class of 2017. Mentors remind students of important deadlines, serve as a trusted college resource and, most importantly, encourage students to reach their full potential. The time commitment is small, but the impact can be life changing for a first generation college student trying to navigate the college going process. Learn more or register at

Wildlife and Wine Fundraiser
Henry Horton State Park
Conference Lodge 6:00 p.m.
Single ticket prices for event are $45
includes a wildlife show, a delicious Five-Course Meal, and
wine pairings to go with each dish., and a silent auction.
All proceeds from this event will go to raise funds to build a bird of prey aviary in the park so that visitors can observe birds, gain a better understanding of the birds, and see how they are essential to our world.

2.  The Chamber is about to launch their new website created by NETCHANICS.  It is going to be a modern look with user friendly features.  THE WEBSITE WILL BE DOWN UNTIL THE CHANGES CAN BE MADE.  THE WEBSITE WILL LAUNCH NOVEMBER 28, 2016!  In the meantime, please check the Chamber Facebook page for updates, pictures, news and more.

Unfortunately, the events calendar will be down, as well. The calendar will updated with extra features.
