The Siena Scribe

November 21, 2016
Dear Parents,

This is a short note to remind you that we will have our Grandparents' Day tomorrow - we expect close to 250 grandparents and special guests!  Our students in Kindergarten through the 7th grade have prepared a lovely program for our guests, and our 8th grade students will serve refreshments and offer assistance to our guests in various ways.

Please inform your guests of the schedule for the day:
  • 9:00 AM Holy Mass at the church: students need to sit together as a class without mingling with guests; Father Neil will give a special blessing to grandparents.
  • 10:00 AM Refreshments: grandparents and special guests will enjoy coffee, tea, and treats in the cafeteria and/or the gym.
  • 10:30 AM Music Program in the gym: there is special reserved seating for grandparents and guests; parents are welcome to join us but please know that seating for parents is limited and standing may be required.
  • 11:00 AM Photos and classroom visits: there will be two stations for photos this year, one in the library and the other in the KA classroom
  • Early checkouts: grandparents/guests/parents may check out students by going to the classroom to sign out their students; they will be provided a ticket which must be given to a staff in the front lobby before leaving.

Students should wear their dress uniform on Grandparents' Day.

God bless!
Sister Mary Jacinta, O.P.
Principal

Office of Catholic Schools Survey

Below please find a request for your input from the Office of Catholic Schools - thank you for supporting this important project!

The Office of Catholic Schools, in conjunction with LHK Partners, seeks your participation in an online survey regarding the perceptions of Catholic Schools and the services they currently offer. This survey will collect the perspective of Catholic school families as well as the "general population" of parents within the Archdiocese of Atlanta.  Findings will be utilized to shape the strategic plan for the Office of Catholic Schools.

To gather the Catholic school families' perspectives several parishes and schools are assisting in the distribution of the survey, but families need only complete one or the other.  If you've completed a survey via the parish link, there is no need to complete this one.  If you have not completed a survey through your parish, please consider completing this survey by clicking on the appropriate link below.

To complete the survey in English, please visit  www.aiocs.com/schoolsurvey.
To complete the survey in Spanish, please visit  www.aiocs.com/schoolsurveysp.

The Office of Catholic Schools is grateful for your assistance.  Your perspectives will help shape the future programs and services the Catholic schools in Atlanta provide.
