Welcome to Week 3 of the Winter Share-- the week before Thanksgiving!
For us here at Fresh Fork Market, Thanksgiving is our A #1 Favorite Holiday of the YEAR! We are so excited to cook up a huge feast, share it with our families and friends, and celebrate. We have so much to be grateful for-- the hardworking people who grow our food, our community of members who care so deeply about sustainable agriculture, and another year of beautiful weather and bountiful crops.
What's in the bag? This week we have a pound of Ohio City Pasta's Butternut Squash and Sage linguine in everyone's bags, along with a 2 lb bag of pinto beans. If you've always bought your beans in a can, check out our blog post on How to Cook Dried Beans. Here's a tip-- make the whole bag at once and freeze extras in 2-3 cup portions (add in a little bit of the cooking liquid) for convenient last minute dinners! All the bags will also have some daikon radishes (try them shredded into a salad or cut into sticks for munching), broccoli, carrots, onion, Goldrush apples, and some kale. The Omnivore shares will also have a ham hock (great for making soups) and a pound of ground beef, and the Vegetarian Shares will get some apple butter and eggs instead.
Thank you to everyone who signed up for our Cocktails class tonight! It sold out in just a few hours, so hopefully we'll be able to team up with some other great local restaurants in the coming months to offer more unique classes. In the meantime, keep reading below for information about another fun event-- a Thanksgiving Class down at Wholesome Valley Farm this coming Saturday!

Next week is the first "off week" of the share.
Next week there is no share pick up, just Thanksgiving Orders. Your Winter Share Week 4 bags will be ready for pick up between Weds, November 30th - Sat, December 3rd.
If you ordered your Thanksgiving turkeys, pies and packages from us, you should be receiving another order confirmation this week. The Thanksgiving Pick Up Locations are slightly different than the Winter Share, so click here and scroll to the bottom of the page to check out the timing.
For those of you who haven't placed your Thanksgiving Order yet: you still have a few days left! Click here to check out our offerings and place your order.
If you want to order extras for Thanksgiving to be delivered next week:
If you want to order extras for Thanksgiving (sausage, butter, cookies, milk, etc.) to be picked up NEXT WEEK along with your turkeys, packages and pies, please place your order between tomorrow (Weds Nov 16th) and Sunday (November 20th) at midnight. We'll be running those orders on Monday in the very early AM to make sure we get them all sorted for your Thanksgiving Pick Ups on Tuesday and Wednesday.
You can of course just order whatever you need this week and keep it in your fridge or freezer till you're ready to cook!
If you already placed an order but you wanted it to be delivered with your Thanksgiving stuff next week, please reply to this email and let us know, or better yet, forward your order confirmation email to us (info@freshforkmarket.com) and we'll get it set straight.
Also, we will be bringing extras on the trucks to the Thanksgiving Pick Up Locations in case you forget!

If you missed our Thanksgiving Beer Pairing Dinner last week at Market Garden Brewery, you still have one more shot to learn all about it from Chef Parker Bosley!
This coming Saturday, November 19th, head down through the beautiful rolling hills of Holmes County to
Wholesome Valley Farm for a delicious Thanksgiving Class. Chef Parker will be demonstrating how to prepare, cook, and carve a turkey, followed by a three-course feast!

Thanksgiving Turkeys
If you've never had one of our pasture-raised Thanksgiving turkeys, you are really missing out. Juicy, flavorful and raised the right way-- outdoors on pasture their entire lives.
We have Tom and Hen turkeys available for sale (Heritage sold out for 2016), for $60-$65. Hens are female turkeys, and they run a little smaller than Toms (male turkeys.) We never use antibiotics, hormones or GMO feeds, and the turkeys are delivered fresh and ready to brine (not frozen) on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
