Diocesan Convention
Thursday, October 25 - Saturday, October 29

The annual convention of the Diocese of Indianapolis will convene at the Sheraton Indianapolis this week. Our clergy and diocesan delegates will be attending. Our delegates are Cindy Anderson-Clark, Dorinda Dick, Tim Dinger, and Ron and Cathy Giedt. Voting for the Eleventh Bishop of the Diocese of Indianapolis will begin on Friday and may continue into Saturday. Please pray for the candidates, the clergy, and our delegates.

Look graciously on your Church and guide the minds of those who shall choose the next bishop of this Diocese, that we may choose a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries.

St. Christopher's
Time & Talent Auction
Saturday, November 5, 6 - 9 p.m.

St. Christopher_s Time _ Talent Auction

Excitement is  building  for the Time and Talent Auction! Our once-every-three-years fundraising (and fun!) event is just 10 days away. This is an event you won't want to miss! Fred Winters will emcee the live auction. Ron Iacocca (our own chef par excellence) will prepare food, which will include heavy hors d'oeuvres.

Tickets

Admission tickets are now available for $12 per person. Wine and beer glasses can be purchased for $10 each.  Purchase your tickets with cash, checks, or credits cards at the Time & Talent Auction table in the Narthex. As food, beverages, and supplies must be purchased in advance, we would appreciate knowing if you will be coming. Please purchase tickets by Sunday, October 30,  or sign up then to pay at the door on November 5.

Childcare

The youth of St. Christopher's are offering childcare for the Time and Talent Auction. To provide the best and most age-appropriate care, we ask that you let us know the names and ages of your children. You can sign up for childcare with the button below or on the signup sheets in the Nursery and Godly Play rooms.

Bid Booklet

An amazing variety of gifts have been donated by individuals and companies. The bid booklet will be available for your review on October 31.

Volunteer Opportunities

Want to help in advance of or on the evening of the Auction? Stop by the Time & Talent Auction table in the Narthex on Sunday and sign up to support this event and St. Christopher's with a gift of your time.

Mother Jenny's Office Hours

Mother Jenny now has open office hours every Monday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. Of course, she is in the office at many other times, but you can be sure to catch her during her office hours. This is time when you are free to drop in and see her about anything - prayer, a personal need, questions, or help with a ministry you are part of, or anything else you need to talk about with her. If that time doesn't work for you, you are welcome to stop and see her at Starbuck's  (Hamilton Crossing) on Wednesdays between 1 and 3 p.m., or call and make an appointment for any other time.
All Saints_ Day Observance

All Saints' Day Observance and Holy Baptism
Sunday, November 6

For our All Saints' celebration we invite you to bring a picture of a departed loved one to church. It would be helpful if the photo is framed and able to stand independently, but any photo will be fine. We will place these photos on the ledges under the windows in the nave of the church. Name tags will be available to identify the person in the photo and that person's relationship to the individual who brought the photo.

During the liturgies on November 6 we will pray for these saints of God who loved us and cared for us during our formative years. We are disciples of Jesus Christ today because of their constant witness in our lives! For that we will give thanks.

Please consider leaving your saints' pictures for two Sundays so everyone can see them.

Holy Baptism

Also at our All Saints' Day Observance, we will baptize Jaxson Hale, son of Audrey and Charles; Hunter Hinson, son of Amanda and Zack; and Zoe Fischesser, daughter of Natalie and Matt. Please pray for these children and their parents as they prepare for Baptism.
St. Christopher's Crops
Bedding Down Our Tenth Garden
Sunday, November 6, 11:15 a.m.

Fall has officially arrived with early morning temperatures dropping into the thirties. So, the time has come to put our St. Christopher's Crops Garden to bed for the winter. There's a lot to be done, but many hands will make the job easy. Please plan to bring work clothes and gloves to church on November 6. Join us to wrap up our first decade of Christopher's Crops!

Prayers for Our Nation  On the Eve of the Election
Monday, November 7, 7:00 p.m.

St. Christopher's will be joining with other parishes in our diocese to offer prayers for our nation on November 7. At 7:00 p.m., the service of Evening Prayer will be read in the church with special intentions for God's guidance as we move beyond the election cycle. The service will last approximately 30 minutes and the church will remain open until 8 p.m. for silent reflection. Please join us for a short time of prayer as the nation undertakes the important task of electing its leaders for the next few years.
