I love November and everything about it. The remaining colors, Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving make the month special to me. It is a time to pause and reflect on all that we have to be grateful for, and this November is no different. There are wonderful things happening at A-B Tech that we can be thankful for this month. For the fifth year in a row, A-B Tech has earned the
Military Friendly® School designation. We are grateful for the work of our dedicated faculty and staff in serving veterans, but also our volunteers who give of their time as welcoming hosts in our the Veterans' Café. Our business incubation is strong and helping entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses. One of our business incubation graduates, was featured in this month's Capital at Play. Read more about Plum Print and the work of Meg Ragland and Carolyn Lanzetta here: http://www.capitalatplay.com/plum-luck/.
The harvest season is a time where we reflect on the generosity of others. A-B Tech College Advancement appreciates each and every one of our donors and volunteers. You are making a difference in the lives of many students through your gifts of time and financial resources.
All the best,
Amanda

Poinsettias for Scholarships!
|
It is hard to believe, but the holidays are coming up quickly. The Asheville Breakfast Rotary Club is beginning their annual poinsettia sales for scholarships fundraising event. Last year the Asheville Breakfast Rotary Club was able to provide funds for three $1,000 scholarships to A-B Tech, as well as scholarships for UNCA, which continues their almost 30-year history of providing scholarships for local students. If you are interested in purchasing poinsettias for your seasonal decorating or as wonderful gifts, this would be a great way to support A-B Tech students and the wonderful work of one of our local Rotary clubs.
Here is a link to the order form; please note sizes, prices, colors. Order instructions are on the form including order detail, pick up date and location. Payment is preferred with the order. For an order of 10 or more poinsettias, members of the Asheville Breakfast Rotary Club can deliver within the Asheville area.
On behalf of the Asheville Breakfast Rotary Club, thank you. Together, any purchase adds up to much needed support for the students of A-B Tech.
