Starting in January 2017, your practice needs to do something to avoid up to a 4 percent penalty in 2019. At KMA, we are trying to get the information to you to download, put in a binder, label MACRA, and have ready for quick reference to avoid penalty cuts. Follow these five easy steps.

When Nancy Swikert, M.D., was considering themes for her year as KMA President, she settled on one that seems a natural fit for her philosophy, medical practice and life - the Family of Medicine. 'It's Never Too Early, 'Til It's Too Late'

Death is never an easy topic. But it needs to be discussed-probably sooner than most people would like, said Starlette Fowler, RN, CHPN, provider liaison for Hospice of the Bluegrass Northern Kentucky.
 
KMA's Kentucky Foundation for Medical Care recently provided a grant for Hospice to host the Carroll County Conversation Project, whose goal is to educate and empower people to make a plan.
