On Thursday, Nov. 10, Campus NightLife host Relax and Re-Energize, an event to help students take a break in the midst of the busy semester. At the event, students enjoyed aqua massages, a smoothie bar, and oxygen bar and more. With the relaxation on the mind, we asked students who attended the event how they de-stress. See student responses>>

In January 2017, the University Health Center will begin offering a Transgender Care Clinic. Dr. Jean Amoura, who brings 10 years of experience in transgender care and hormone treatment, will be the primary care provider for the clinic. On Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 4-5 p.m., the LGBTQA+ Resource Center is hosting a meet and greet with Dr. Amoura in the Nebraska Union, room 346.  Read more>>
On Wednesday, Nov. 2, students filled the OASIS Student Lounge to discuss the challenges that Asian American and international students face at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Speaker Rebecca Reinhardt opened the discussion by reflecting on her own struggle to learn English and adapt to American culture after moving from China. Read more>>

A catchy slogan and visually appealing ads from Conference Services at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln have drawn national attention from Unique Venues, the largest online database of non-conventional meeting and event venues. Read more>>

From Nov. 4-6, 36 teams from 18 colleges across 10 states visited the Nebraska campus to compete in the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association’s (NIRSA) regional flag football tournament. Competitors included four teams from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Students vied for the chance to travel the University of West Florida to compete in NIRSA’s National Flag Football Championships in January 2017.  Read more>>

Throughout November the LGBTQA+ Resource Center is hosting workshops for students, staff and faculty to learn how to create inclusive environments. Read more>>

This November, the Center for Civic Engagement hosted its 12th Dare to Care food drive. To mark the end of the food drive, the Center for Civic Engagement hosted the 13th Annual Chili Cook-off on Friday, Nov. 11. Prior to the cook-off, Dining Services provides student volunteers with cinnamon rolls and chili to serve at the Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach. Proceeds from the cook-off event also go to the Matt Talbot Kitchen. Read more>>


Traditionally, Thanksgiving is a time when families gather together. To give students the opportunity to enjoy the holiday with their friends on campus, University Dining Services annually serves the traditional feast before the Thanksgiving break. Read more>>


Although Dia de los Muertos occurs on the first and second of November, hundreds of students, faculty and staff, and members of the community gathered in Kauffman Hall to celebrate on Nov. 4. The Mexican American Student Association (MASA) and Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. planned the event that included food, crafts, music and more. Read more>>

Ever since high school, I always found myself in clubs or sports, whether it was soccer, basketball, National Honors Society, or Spanish Honors Society. During this time, I also discovered a love for art as I saw the things I could create with charcoal and paper.
