Last Sunday After Pentecost
The Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King
November 20, 2016
"We invite everyone to share communion around God's altar.
We strive to be a welcoming and relevant Christian community doing what matters through prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service.
We will demonstrate the real life application of scripture, tradition, and
reason by providing a safe place to respond to each other's needs,
hurts, joys, and interests."

Pick up TOMORROW between 10 and 12
|
We have 8 additional angels (all single children) available for this Sunday, November 20. If you wanted an angel last week and weren't able to secure one, please stop by the tree in the narthex and pick one up. We will be available after the 8:15 service and before and after the 10:30 service or until all the angels are picked up! Gifts must be brought to the church
no later than December 4.
Thank you for supporting this wonderful cause!

Inda Allen Scholarship Fund Dinner
Sunday, November 20, 6:00 p.m.
The annual community celebration and fundraiser for the Inda Allen Scholarship Fund will be at 6 p.m. on Nov. 20 (the Sunday before Thanksgiving) at the Sautee Nacoochee Center in the Community Hall. The event is hosted by Nacoochee Presbyterian Church, Nacoochee Methodist Church, and The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection. For more information and to RSVP, follow this link.
Inda was a beautiful role model and scholar who died from a blood clot when she was 17. These scholarships help local African-American students pursue an education. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy a delicious meal, fellowship, and entertainment.

Family Promise Volunteer Help Needed
Family Promise guests will be staying at the old Bridge Church building in Cleveland for two weeks, and they need volunteer help since no one church is hosting for those two weeks. The first week is November 20-27 (Thanksgiving Week) and November 27-December 4.
If you can help with any one of these volunteer slots for those two weeks, please contact Shaun Sosebee at shaun.sosebee@gmail.com or (706) 809-8787, who is coordinating volunteers for the two weeks.
