ADULT RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Adult RE Sessions have begun - we are on our way in our communal search for truth and meaning! This year, there are two Adult RE opportunities offered most Sundays: Adult Conversation Circles at 9:30am and Answering the Big Questions at 10:30am.

Here are your next Adult RE opportunities:
October 9 at 9:30am
Turning Point
The first of a monthly discussion series on the present and future of Unitarian Universalism, beginning with the topic: Meet the Love People.
October 9 & 16 at 11:45am
Answering the Big Questions
Our parent and caregiver discussion group continues, exploring sexuality and behavior. UU Games for children happens at the same time.
COFFEE HOUR UPDATES
We've got three things brewing when it comes to coffee hour this year:

1. BAKERSPlease help us to fill our freezer with treats to be enjoyed during coffee hour! We'd love to get a taste of what you can bake up. Email Nancy Dix, nbellehome@aol.com, if you have questions.

Working together, all First Universalist
groups and committees will be  hosting coffee hour. Twice per year, your group will make the coffee, set out the mugs and the treats, and clean up. Nancy Read, nafread@prexar.com, will be contacting your group with more details about hosting.

3. Our blue mugs are getting spruced up - and changing meanings. Now, if you're a
friendly  member who would enjoy chatting with someone new, you'll take one of the brighter blue mugs so that newcomers can approach you to connect and ask questions. Look for the new mugs at coffee hour this Sunday.
FROM THE OFFICE
Have you seen the Ushering Calendar this year? It's here, along with a guide on ushering. If you're unavailable for your assigned date, please contact another friendly congregant to switch places with you.
We are thrilled to welcome our new administrative assistant, Gail Mills. Gail represents our first line of welcoming and outreach, both to each other and to the wider world, and may be contacted for general questions about building use, events, nonmember rentals, pledge statements, and assistance with order of worship production.
