PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

JOEY'S PLACE TASK MASTERS

At Joey's Place, the center based Adult Services program for individuals with developmental disabilities, adult participants celebrated their hard work by filling the "Task Master's" jar. "Task Master's" is a daily activity where each client has an opportunity to choose a specific task. If he/she completes the chosen daily task a bead is added to the jar. Once the jar is filled, a celebration is held to congratulate everyone on doing such a great job. The task options include but are not limited to: doing the dishes, laundry, feeding the fish, watering the plants, sweeping the kitchen floor. Each time a celebration is held there is a different theme and reward. This time we celebrated with a Pajama Party. Individuals wore their comfy pajamas and enjoyed an ice cream sundae bar. Everyone had a great time!

These types of activities teach responsibility and completing goal oriented tasks in a fun way.  For more information about Joey's Place program, please contact  Dionna Lanich,  Joey's Place Coordinator at (719)203-3424 or email at [email protected].

VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHTS

Thanks to TCF Bank employees, Crystina Wallace and Brandie Baker!  They graciously volunteered their time in the cold to clean the outside leaves at our Administration building.

We'd like to acknowledge and thank the many volunteers at TCF Bank with their continued involvement over the years such as organizing one of our large mailers, outdoor upkeep and fundraising assistance.  Over the years, TCF Bank has also made donations towards our Capital Campaign and contributed to our Silent Auction items for our Night of Comedy fundraiser.

It's local businesses like TCF Bank that keep our mission alive to promote, strengthen & support individuals with disabilities.

2016 Women of Influence - Colorado Springs Business Journal
Linda Warren of The Warren Management Group
article by Cameron Moix, Colorado Springs Business Journal article dated 11/16/16

When Linda Warren decided to start a business of her own in 1992, she never imagined it would grow into one of the largest and most successful of its kind in Colorado Springs.  "I never intended to grow a business ... and now I have 21 employees," Warren said. "It's pretty awesome how it all worked out."

Warren, a native of rural Nebraska, became involved in residential community associations in 1986 when she went to work for Vintage Communities as marketing assistant and HOA administrator for their Peregrine Development in Colorado Springs.  Six years later, she went out on a limb and started Warren & Associates (which later became the Warren Management Group).....
