What's New at Cluny School? Here's The Connection...

The Connection/10 November 2016

Congratulations to Mrs. Burgess and the Fourth Graders for a successful production of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, which took place Monday,
7 November. Here's a beautifully painted stage prop depicting Dunsinane Hill, where Macbeth was defeated in battle.

Then live, Macduff. What need I fear of thee?
But yet I'll make assurance double sure,
And take a bond of fate. Thou shalt not live,
That I may tell pale-hearted fear it lies,
And sleep in spite of thunder.
Taken from Macbeth, Act 4, Scene 1

Welcome, Mrs. Koen!

We are happy to welcome to Cluny School our new middle school math and science teacher. Mrs. Evey Koen.  An undergraduate major in biology, Mrs. Koen has an MA in teaching with a focus on special education.

Certified in two states, she enjoys the distinction of being highly qualified in middle school mathematics under the standard set forth by the No Child Left Behind Act.

Mrs. Koen is not only as an addition to our faculty, but she a member of Aquidneck Island's community of military moms. Her husband, Michael, is a naval officer who recently began a three year term as an instructor at the Naval War College.

We are greatly impressed with the quality of Mrs. Koen's instruction, and we are confident that she will continue to build upon the excellence in middle school math and science instruction at Cluny School.
