Do you have Health Insurance? Affordable Care Open Enrollment 2017 is November 1, 2016 to January 31
st, 2017. A certified Healthcare will be at the Belle Glade and Pahokee Library. The epilepsy foundation of Florida (EFOF) provides FREE assistance to consumers to sign for affordable healthcare on the Federal Marketplace. EFOF is a non-profit organization and is not affiliated or paid by any insurance company. EFOF offers consumers trusted unbiased advice regarding their Health insurance needs

Community Dialogue With Health Care Foundation
Please join Palm Healthcare Foundation to learn more about the Healthier Together initiative, a community-driven, multi-year, place-based funding approach to solving our community's most complex health issues, neighborhood by neighborhood. Palm Healthcare Foundation will talk about the upcoming Health Dialogue to Action Sessions taking place in January and February, in partnership with Community Partners, Inc. Together, we will think about the forces impacting health in the Glades communities and learn from the experiences in other Healthier Together communities. The success of Healthier Together will be driven by teams of residents, key community leaders, businesses, civic organizations and faith communities who develop shared vision, common goals and action plans to address critical health issues. We are hosting community dialogue sessions in the Belle Glades (November 9th) and Pahokee (November 30th) to build on the work from the visioning sessions which took place in February and March 2015. This event will provide an opportunity for Glades residents to voice their aspirations, values and opportunities for this work, and begin creating a shared, long-term vision across the Glades communities for good health and a strong community through Healthier Together.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, which assists high-achieving low-income students reach their full potential through education, is inviting applications for its College Scholarship Program, the largest undergraduate scholarship in the country.
Scholarship recipients will be awarded as much as $40,000 per year for four years to cover the cost of tuition, books, living expenses, and other fees.
The deadline for all application materials is November 30, 2016 at noon.
