We want to welcome  Smokey Joe's BBQ  to the McNairy County Chamber of Commerce! Smokey Joe's BBQ recently moved to a new location so we celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony. They are now in the old Country Kitchen building with new menu items, lunch specials, inside seating, a salad bar, and TVs!

We started planning the #ShopMcNairy Fashion Show back in October with a couple of different goals in mind. One to keep the momentum of our #ShopMcNairy program going and two we wanted to find a way to showcase the boutiques in McNairy County to our residents. We had an amazing turnout with a sold out show. The fashion show also helped fund our $1000 Spend to Win giveaway that will be coming up in December. Please check out our website for more details at www.mcnairy.com.

November's Chamber Coffee was hosted by Jones Exhaust in Adamsville, TN. We were very pleased to see this turnout since this was the first time to have an Industry member host Chamber Coffee. The 2016-2017 Adult Leadership class was in attendance. They started their session off with a first-hand look at what the Chamber does and then began their November session focusing on McNairy County Non-Profits. Next month's Chamber Coffee will be hosted by the Developmental Center December 15 at 8:30am.

McNairy Youth & Adult Leadership completed the November Non-Profits session. The session included touring various non-profit organizations in the county and a presentation from Scott Conger, President & CEO of United Way of West Tennessee. The program is designed to encourage teenagers and adults to become educated and interested in community affairs. The Chamber is partnering with local government, businesses and various state organizations to offer a fun and informative curriculum, inspiring future generations to become engaged citizens and most of all leaders.

Butcher Boy Machines

Butcher Boy Machines International LLC was recently formed and purchased the assets of the Butcher Boy brand in Selmer, TN. Many restaurants, grocery stores, meat markets and butcher shops respect the Butcher Boy brand, in business since 1927. The brand name “Butcher Boy” came about from the name people used to call the butchers helpers. The new Butcher Boy Machine Company will develop quality machines that are easy to operate, easy to maintain and clean and safe to use. The new Butcher Boy Machine Company will develop quality machines that are easy to operate, easy to maintain and clean and safe to use.
