THE 2017 CONFERENCE BROCHURE IS AVAILABLE!

). There will be lots to learn and to share as the conference takes us to multiple sites exploring Jewish life and culture. The conference program will explore shifts in our communities, audience expectations, and new ways of communicating ideas and crafting experiences. ANOTHER MOVE FOR DC SYNAGOGUE
The
Adas Israel Synagogue
- home to the
Lillian & Albert Small Jewish Museum
in Washington, DC - has relocated once again! On November 3rd, the historic 1876 building moved 30-40 feet to allow further construction at the Capitol Crossing development. It
will remain at this site for a few years before one last move to Third and F Streets, NW, where it will stand alongside the new museum for the
Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington

EXHIBITIONS AVAILABLE
We Carried: Fragments From the Cradle of Civilization  (left). In this exhibition, contemporary Iraqi and Syrian refugees
annotate Jim Lommasson's photographs of the precious belongings they chose to bring during relocation to the U.S. ... And the Fondazione di Venezia recently commissioned leading Italian photographer Ferdinando Scianna to document the former Venetian ghetto; see some of the striking images here. LEADERSHIP TRAINING
The application process is now open for the
Getty Leadership Institute's NextGen 2017 program.
 This is a prestigious learning experience for the museum field's emerging top talent. The program is designed for mid-level staff with three to five years of museum management experience and extraordinary leadership potential. Applications are due on January 4, 2017, and you can find out more

American Alliance of Museums is conducting a national
survey of museum directors and board chairs this month, and is open for your participation.
