SEC Amends Recordkeeping Rules

This installment of Compliance Corner takes a look at adopted amendments by the SEC to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and Form ADV to enhance and improve the reporting requirements for registered investment advisers (RIAs). The Amendments require investment advisers who have investment discretion with respect to Separately Managed Accounts to report the approximate percentage of their SMA assets invested in twelve broad asset categories. CSW Private Equity Portfolio Company Sold

Berkshire Blanket, Inc., a portfolio company of CSW Private Equity, LLC, was recently sold to SUMEC Textile Light Industry Co., Ltd. Berkshire Blanket, based in Ware, Massachusetts, with its primary showroom in New York City, is the leading designer, importer and marketer of blankets, throws and soft home goods in the United States. Berkshire is a provider of industry-leading fabrics, technologies, styles, designs, patterns, textures and colors suitable for all ages, seasons and occasions. CSW acquired a majority interest in Berkshire in 2006. During its ownership, CSW pursued a series of initiatives designed to improve the company’s performance and support accelerated growth. As a result, Berkshire more than doubled revenue while engineering transformative change in its product mix.

Vista Equity Partners to Acquire RDC

Regulatory DataCorp, Inc. (RDC) announced that it has been acquired from Bain Capital Ventures and others by Vista Equity Partners. Financial terms have not been disclosed. Headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, RDC is a leading provider of counterparty risk and financial regulatory compliance data and software solutions to financial institutions and technology companies, as well as sharing economy, social media, and multinational companies worldwide.
