Representatives of Williams Transco Pipeline have informed Montgomery Twp. that there may be an odor of natural gas in the area today and tomorrow due to venting necessary as part of their work to complete the tie-in of the new pipeline (located parallel and adjacent to the existing line) into Princeton from southern Montgomery. According to Transco:
"Gas odor may be noticed in Princeton Township and surrounding areas. This is a result of sweeping our line clean with air so that the contractor can perform the tie-in. Sweeping the line clean (gas free) should occur between 8am and 12pm.
This work will continue on Tuesday, 11/22/16 on our northern end and will affect Montgomery Township. Wednesday, 11/23/16, is scheduled to return to full service."
Any questions may be addressed to Transco's Project Land Office at (610) 419-9145.
