How did the holidays get here so fast? We hope that all of you are excited about this joyous and thankful time. And, we are hoping that Memaloose/ Idiot's Grace can be part of your plan for enjoying the season. We are currently pouring six wines that we know you will want to have on your Thanksgiving feast table! Each has been selected for its specific appropriateness for Thanksgiving, so don't be caught unprepared! We believe that no one in the Northwest can provide you better wines to pair with food.
We will be open Wednesday, and Friday thru Sunday of Thanksgiving week. Thanksgiving weekend is one of our busiest of the year, and we are ready to host you and your family/friends with accompaniment cheeses, and a surprise wine special selection (!) for just $15 and $10 (yep) for Wine Corps members. That same wine is available for $100/case. Outrageous!! Bring a non-perishable food, and your $8 tasting fee will be waived. Donations go to the Gorge Action Network for the benefit of our friends and neighbors in need.
We are releasing two exceptional new red wines from the 2014 vintage. Our very limited Idiot's Grace Sangiovese is now at the Tasting Room and available through our online store. It is our very first estate Sangiovese! And, it is wonderful - $25.
The second wine is our estate Idiot's Grace Primitivo! Always a favorite (and not produced in 2013), this wine is spectacularly delicious. $30.

This was our 4th straight warm and early vintage. Harvest now rests peacefully in barrel and tank. Cellarmaster Brian McCormick is very excited about the year. The fruit was flawless and the flavors were fantastic. Lower yields (some intentional, some not) produced an intensity that thrills us. Even the warm weather on the crush pad and remarkably low yellow-jacket activity made the crush pad a joy.
The past four warm years beg the question: Could climate warming have created the ideal American wine AVA right here in the Gorge ? It truly feels like it is playing right into our grape-stained hands. Stay tuned, but we like where we are, as many other regions get hotter and hotter...perhaps too hot.
Much progress to report. Out of the ground and moving fast toward next summer's opening. The "to do" list, however remains daunting.
New Year's Day will be our fifth "Great Eagle Outing". This much-loved charity event will be better that ever. There will be our favorite eagle expert (Tim Pitz) with his scope, walks up the Klickitat to view the birds, great wine and nibbles, silent auction and general New Year cheer. Great for the whole family.
