East Ridge
Christmas Parade
Sat., Nov. 19 - 6:30 p.m.
Prop Donations & Volunteers Needed
BCA Families,
The annual East Ridge Christmas Parade is this Sat., Nov. 19. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Germantown Road and Belvoir Avenue. We hope everyone will be able to come out and watch the parade, but we also need your help in preparing BCA's float!

The middle school students have been super-busy since September planning the float for the parade. Our theme is, "A BCA Family Christmas!" We have planned two floats so everyone has an opportunity to be involved, either by planning, building, riding or walking.

We need the following to complete the float vision of the middle school students:
PROP NEEDS:
  • Fake evergreen trees
  • A small pre-lit tree, no more than 5 ft. tall
All donations will be returned to the families who donate them, but the builders need to have everything brought to BCA by this Wed., Nov. 16.
VOLUNTEER NEEDS:
  • People to help assemble the float (See building schedule below.)
  • People to disassemble the float directly following the parade
  • Students to ride the float
  • *Parents/adult volunteers to walk beside the float (dogs and strollers are welcome.) *NOTE:  Without walkers, we cannot participate due to safety issues. You will have the opportunity to give out candy to the parade watchers, too. (We cannot throw the candy because children might run into the parade line to pick it up.) The parade route is approximately 2 miles or less.
We will be able to use the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church youth van to pull our smaller float that will hold our little ones, driven by Nolan Polley, and Charlie Bastnagel will drive for our larger float.

The COSTUMES are easy!! Dress for a snowball fight and singing ! If you have BCA apparel, please wear it!
