November can be a stressful month with the holidays approaching. Did you know that November 2nd was National Stress Awareness Day?
What's your favorite way to de-stress/relax during the holidays?
Barb - Have fun with family and friends!!
Timmy - Yoga, relaxation meditation, and Chardonnay!
Lisa -
My favorite way to de-stress around the holidays is to turn on the Christmas music, grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and bake cookies. I love to make Snickerdoodles because they remind me of my mom. Rolling out each cookie is very methodical and a task you don't have to think too much about! The bonus is I get to eat the finished product and share with family and friends.
Dana -
Like most things in my life, a plan helps me feel more prepared and less stressed! Menu and gift planning starts early. This year, we are expecting a Thanksgiving baby so all plans are out the window!
Karen E. -
When I get stressed during the holidays or anytime for that matter, there's nothing like getting together with some girlfriends and enjoying a couple glasses of wine. We laugh, talk about how much more we still have to get done by December 25th, swap gift and party ideas, gossip, and laugh some more. Laughter is always the perfect stress buster for me. If that doesn't work, I love to get outside and take a walk at Oregon Ridge. The fresh air and being outdoors always refreshes me and clears my mind.
Karen B. - My favorite de-stresser is to bake holiday treats with my kids. Decorating cookies puts me in a good mood! I also enjoy taking a brisk walk with my dogs or taking a gym class to de-stress.
Lauren - I find listening to Christmas music helps me relax during the holidays. But throughout the year, I use my
Calm app before bed to help de-stress too.
Sarah -
My favorite way to de-stress around the holidays is to watch the movie Elf!
Kate - My favorite way to de-stress is to watch The Office!
Welcome, Kate!
We are delighted to announce Kate as our fall 2016 intern! Kate graduated from Grinnell College with a BA in History. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!

November 2016
From the Desk of Barb Clapp...
Our team had a wonderful time celebrating 15 years with our clients, friends and family on October 27th! I couldn't have made it these past 15 years without all of you who referred a client, wrote a reference letter, nominated us for awards or just spread the word and supported our team. Thank you so much to everyone who came out to celebrate 15 years, it was a blast! Check out more fun photos from our party on our album here.
