Special presentation ALICE - Emergency Lockdowns

ALICE  is the protocol Lake Washington School district has adopted in the event of a violent intruder.  Our assistant principal Michael Clark will be talking about the  ALICE  protocol at the next PTSA meeting on November 15th , starting at 7.00pm.  Come along if you would like to find out more about how our school and our children are trained to respond in the event of a violent intruder - and what they will be learning in their December drill.   There will be an open question time after Mr Clark's presentation.

New Geography Team Forming?

One of the items being discussed at this month's General Meeting is a proposed geography team to represent Redmond Middle School in the National Geographic Bee.

The National Geographic Bee is an annual competition organized by the National Geographic Society, designed to inspire  and reward students' curiosity about the world. Please come to the meeting to learn more about the plan to start this team and vote as to if the PTSA should form a team.

Want more information but can't make the meeting?  Look for the results of the vote in next week's Bear Tracks.

Chairpersons Needed to Do an Excellent Job

If we want to contribute more to the school than just providing money for events your help is needed. Your PTSA is currently seeking committee chairs for the following committees: Eighth Grade Celebration, ASB Support, Field Day, and Student Recognition. Contact Lisa, your VP of Volunteers, at
volunteers@rmsptsa.org for more information about what the positions entail. The Special Needs and Student Recognition chairmanships can be managed outside of school hours.
