2016 CCTS Multidisciplinary Partner Network Pilot recipient Dr. Rebecca C. Arend, associate scientist in the Experimental Therapeutics Program at the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center, is untangling the roles of checkpoint inhibitors and epigenetic modifiers to improve the body's response to immunotherapy. Currently working with lab models of ovarian cancer, she plans to launch a human clinical trial with colleagues at UAB and HudsonAlpha More

CCTS Biostatistics Clinics Cancelled for Holiday Weeks
The weekly Wednesday Biostatistics Drop-in Clinic, which usually takes place at PCAMS from 11:30am-1pm, will not be held on the Wednesdays preceding Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve (November 23, December 21, or December 28).
