PTC General Membership Meeting
|
 Join us on the blacktop, after drop off, on the first day of school - Wednesday, August 23 at 8:25 am for the first PTC General Membership Meeting. We will introduce the new board, adopt the 2017-18 PTC budget, and highlight some of the terrific activities planned for the coming school year.
|

|
If you did not turn in your PTC dues at Registration ($12 per family), please drop it off in the Cossitt Office. All paid members of the PTC will receive a copy of the Family Directory.

Back to School Kickoff Party - Sunday, 8/20
|
We are looking forward to the Back to School Kickoff Party this
Sunday, August 20
!
1:30-2:00 New family information session and school tour.
2:00-3:00 Returning families, catch up with old friends and meet new classmates.
All Cossitt families are invited to drop-in for snow cones from Tate's, DJ/dancing, visit with representatives from local organizations, and other acitivites. Plus - pick up your 2017-18 Cossitt student bag tags!
Also new this year - Roller Rally!! Bring your scooter or roller skates at 2:00 and ride around a roller rink on the blacktop!
(bicycles not permitted).
In case of rain, a short program for new families will be held in the Cossitt gym at 1:30.
We could also still use a few more volunteers! Please consider volunteering in order to help make this a successful event.

Bike Safety Rodeo - Save the Date
|
 The Cossitt Bike Safety Rodeo will be be held on
Friday, September 8, at 3:15 p.m. on the Cossitt Playground for all 3rd graders interested in riding their bikes to school. All 4th, 5th, and 6th graders who have not participated are also invited. Additional information will be sent home
August 25.
Additional volunteers are need needed. If your child is participating in the Rodeo, please consider volunteering -- it's possible.

Room Parent Sign Up - Coming August 25
|
Do you want to be a room parent? The sign up will be online via SignUpGenius. The
August 25
emailed Friday Folder will include a link to the SignUpGenius. Room parent luncheons will be on
September 14
(grades K, 5, 6)
& 15
(grades 1, 2, 3, 4).
There will be a limit of 8 room parents per classroom. Room parents are primarily responsible for planning and attending the Halloween or Winter parties in the classroom.

Garden Club Committee - Thank you!

 Thank you to the Sandra Vazquez-Weber, Kathleen Loughney, and all the volunteers who worked over the summer to help maintain and water the gardens and playground plants. The garden area looks fantastic!
