Traffic Tie-Ups at Mar-a-Lago for President-Elect Visit 
 
With the arrival of President-Elect Donald Trump for the Thanksgiving Holiday, traffic control is in place around Mar-a-Lago.  A heavy police, Secret Service, and Coast Guard presence is at the Mar-a-Lago service entrance just west of the traffic circle on the Southern Blvd. access to the island. 
Thanksgiving Weather: Who Will See Snow, Freezing Rain and Possibly a Hurricane
 
Indulgent days of sunny skies await South Florida this Thanksgiving week, but anyone venturing to other regions of the U.S. may face freezing rain, thunderstorms or several feet of snow. There's even a burgeoning tropical cyclone in the southwest Caribbean.
Trump Beat Clinton in Five of Seven Voting Precincts in Palm Beach 
President-elect Donald Trump fared better in Palm Beach than he did nationwide in the Nov. 8 general election.
Mr. Trump, the Republican nominee, claimed 3,231 votes to Democrat Hillary Clinton's 2,612, according to Palm Beach County Elections Supervisor Susan Bucher's office.

At least one big change is coming to Palm Beach's town government: Council President Michael Pucillo announced Friday that he will not seek a fourth term on the council.
Zoning Chairman Martin Klein to Run for Council Seat

Martin Klein, an attorney and chairman of the Planning & Zoning Commission, is running for the Group 2 Town Council seat now held by Michael Pucillo. Pucillo, the council president, announced Friday he is not seeking re-election. He joined the council in 2011.
Palm Beach still tweaking design of new recreation center
The town has spent the past three weeks revising designs for a new recreation center, but the tweaking isn't over yet.
Final Phase of Town Square Work Expected to Wrap up Next Week
Soon you can add this to your list of things to be thankful for - having all lanes open around Town Hall and no more parking spaces there blocked by construction vehicles. Construction officials expect the last phase of the Town Square renovation project to wrap up by the end of next week.
Fountain Site OK Paves Way for
Bradley Park Renovation 
 
A decision by the Landmark Preservation Commission has cleared the way for a $2.3 million renovation of Bradley Park this summer. Last week the board unanimously approved plans to move the Artemis fountain from the southwest corner to a spot in front of the Tea House building.

The Planning and Zoning Commission gave its blessing Tuesday to proposed amendments to the town's comprehensive plan. The board's unanimous decision is a recommendation to the Town Council to approve the land-use document.

Parking on Royal Poinciana Way might become easier if the Town Council passes a new law that would ease restrictions on how underground parking garages get built.

Early December Still Target for Opening Lanes on New Flagler Bridge
For residents and other motorists frustrated by years of traffic congestion at the north and middle bridges, relief is in sight. The new Flagler Memorial Bridge is set to have all four drive lanes open in February.

Florida Confirms 11 More Zika Cases
Florida health officials on Friday identified 11 new cases of the mosquito-borne Zika virus, bringing the state total to 1,188 cases. Six of the new cases involved people who were infected while traveling outside of Florida.
