Your tax dollars at work: A weekly update on bond/override/construction
activity at SUSD schools. Check out what we're up to this week.
Scottsdale Unified School District | Bond Update 8/18/17

Thank you for signing up for weekly updates on bond & override projects within SUSD. We are committed to transparency through this process, and we welcome your feedback. Like you, we can't wait to see our new schools go up and our existing schools improve.
WEEKLY PROGRESS

School is back in session, and our school rebuild committees are getting back to work too! This week, both the Hopi and Pima committees met with architects for project updates. Hopi held conversations about the exterior look of their new buildings, while Pima had a preliminary discussion about school plans. The next school in line for a rebuild is Hohokam, and that rebuild committee has already had their first meeting as well.

Also this week, we began hatching plans to celebrate the grand opening of our first two football fields. Stay tuned for more on that! In the meantime, check out this beautiful shot of the Saguaro field taking shape:

Your tax dollars are at work on more than full-scale construction projects. Thanks to you, crews were also busy over the summer completing various school improvements, including this much-needed new flooring at Laguna and Sequoya:

We are officially retiring the "Rumor of the Week" section of this weekly update. We hope there won't be any further need for myth busting. Thank you for helping us keep the communication lines open.
