Board Openings
Our Board of Directors has three openings for the upcoming three year term. Please consider joining the Board. It is a wonderful opportunity to support the school and get involved. The Board is also looking for parents interested in volunteering for  Academic Excellence, Finance, and Governance committees as well as Administration's Development Taskforce.
Parent Student Handbooks
Please ensure that you have reviewed the Parent Student Handbook. This is an invaluable resource that provides a wealth of information about the ins and outs of PCCS! Be sure to also sign the acknowledgement of receipt of the handbook. If you need to see a paper copy, please visit the office to review.
Morning Greeters
Interested in a fun and easy way to volunteer and meet families at PCCS? Consider joining the Morning Greeters Team. This cheery and energetic group is looking for a few more parent volunteers to help open car doors in the morning from 7:40-8am. You can volunteer for one day a week or several. Come join the fun! Contact Val Cuarto with questions!
Afternoon Carpool
Thank you for your patience with the first days of carpool. A few reminders to help everyone: please pull up as close as possible to the car in front of you to avoid a back up on Jones Point Rd & Rt. 45. Children should enter cars on passenger  side. Please  be mindful  that carpool typically ends  by 3:50; please ensure you are here to pick up your child before then.
Curriculum Nights
Please join us for Curriculum Night! K-4th grade Curriculum Night will take place on Tuesday, September 5th and 5th-8th grade Curriculum Night will be held on Tuesday, September 12th. The events will run from 6-7pm on both nights. 5th-8th grade families: Mrs. Flaig will be visiting your class' curriculum night to answer questions about trips.
Upcoming Events & After School Opportunities
Virtual Backpack is Back!  Please visit the Virtual Backpack page or click the picture on the left to see the numerous after school offerings provided by PCCS and our larger community.
PBIS--Be Respectful at Dismissal
Be Respectful at Dismissal.  As part of a community which does carpool this way, we need to do our part to help the system work well. This means being respectful to our classmates, the staff, and the parents who are part of this system. By waiting quietly in the classroom and out at the carpool area, we show respect for the others in our community.
Environmental Learning
We are so excited to be kicking off next week with our attention on the skies for Monday's solar eclipse!  We are lucky enough to be in the range of 88% coverage, which will give us a fantastic chance to make observations of the way animals, birds, and insects respond to dusk and nearly dark conditions in the time before and after the eclipse occurs.   Will we get to hear coyotes yip and Great-horned owls hoot?  Will our local bats be active to keep the mosquitoes at bay while we watch this once in a lifetime event?  Ask your student about the way they were able to celebrate such an incredible happening--or bring your eclipse glasses to the Soccer field by 1:15pm so that we can experience one of Nature's coolest moments together! We will be following safety protocol as prescribed by NASA- -you can find them  here .  Happy viewing !

PSO Corner
Welcome to the 2017-18 school year from your PSO! It was great seeing so many of you at the "Back-to-School Picnic", and getting to know our new families at the "New Family Picnic". We thank our New Family Coordinator Scott Stewart for his volunteerism, and our Back to School Picnic Coordinator Michele  McCormick  for hers as well!
