Taking Children into the Community - Community outings with children can be hard for parents and child alike. This workshop will take you from the pre-planning stages of a trip to the store, to trying to navigate problem behaviors that may occur at a variety of venues in the community.
About the Presenter
Ricky Teichman, Ms Ed, BCBA, is the director of the Puzzle Place Center for Autism. Ms. Teichman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercy College as well as certification for Early Childhood Education in both NY and NJ. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, BCBA Supervisor and Licensed Behavior Analyst in the State of NY. She has been trained in the Early Start Denver Model of treatment for children with autism and also in DIR/Floortime.
