Bookmark Oct. 28 for the No Book Club
Besides reading books, do you like talking about books, especially ones you recently read and really enjoyed? If so, there's a new book club for you.
The No Book Club will conduct its first meeting on
Monday, Aug. 28,
2-3 p.m. in the Community Room on the second floor of the Edgewater Library, 6000 N. Broadway. Participants can briefly talk about the book they're currently reading, one they recently read or one they may have read not so recently. The book can be fiction or non-fiction. Any genre, any subject. It's a chance to hear not only snippets about books and what others suggest, but we'll share the recommendations with the community on the library's bulletin board.
The No Book Club is brought to you by Friends of the Edgewater Library, Edgewater Village and Edgewater Reads. The Club will meet on the fourth Monday of each month. Free. No frills. Just book talk.

Get Involved with the Edgewater 5k/ 1mi!
Join us for the annual Edgewater 5k Run/1mi Walk, the only race course that includes Sheridan Road and the lakefront path! The Edgewater 5k raises money for all schools in the 48th Ward, both private and public. Your investment in today's students is an investment in the future, as many of the 48th Ward graduates stay in the community.
Since the race began in 2014 we have raised $15,000 for 48th Ward schools.

Explore Edgewater's incredible theatre scene with the
Theatre District Passport. Just like a coffee shop punch card, the Theatre District Passport can be stamped each time you see a play, and after 5 stamps, the 6th play will be free! The Theatre District Passport program is only valid with participating locations.
Participating Theatres are designated above with an asterisk *.
How It Works
Pick up your Edgewater Theatre District Passport. You'll find them at participating theatres, the Chamber of Commerce, and other businesses and organizations in the neighborhood.
Purchase tickets to a show at a participating theatre. It's always a good idea to purchase in advance - the word is spreading about the high quality shows in Edgewater. They're selling out!
Have your Passport stamped every time you see a play at a participating theatre.
Once you've collected 5 stamps, your 6th ticket will be free. Contact the theatre directly to reserve your free tickets - it's that easy!
Grab your next passport, and start exploring!
