Weekly Update
Input sought in Transportation Futures Study online open house
Those who live, work and play in Washington County are asked to join the conversation about the future of transportation during the Washington County Transportation Futures Study Online Open House.
The study evaluated of hundreds of long-term transportation ideas and investments to see how well they support community values and meet anticipated future transportation needs. The open house shares those results and provides an opportunity for the public to comment. Specifically, the study team is looking for public input on what should be studied further and how to prioritize funding and investment areas. Comments received will help the County identify potential future transportation strategies and investments.
Comments will be accepted through Dec. 2. To participate, visit the Washington County Transportation Futures Study Online Open House.

Last day to comment on URMD Safety Improvement candidates 
Today is the last day to submit public comment on the top safety improvement candidates being considered for funding in FY2017-18 is being solicited by Washington County's Urban Road Maintenance District Advisory Committee.

Road News
Current roadwork and closures
Visit www.wc-roads.com for the latest road information, including capital road construction, upcoming road maintenance work and weekend events that may impact traffic in Washington County. All paving work is weather-dependent and schedules may be adjusted due to changes in the weather or for other unforeseen circumstances.
  • Meek Road will be closed at Jackson School Road through Jan. 31, 2017, for the construction of a roundabout at Jackson School, Scotch Church and Meek roads. Traffic is being detoured to Sewell Road, Evergreen Drive and Jackson School Road. Jackson School and Scotch Church roads will remain open. Media release
  • Night work on Farmington Road will continue through Nov. 18 at Murray Boulevard.
  • The closure of 175th Avenue between Rigert and Kemmer roads has been extended through Nov. 18 or right-of-way improvements as part of the Oldham Meadows project. For more information, email Matt Atiyeh or Aaron Slowik or call 503-588-7576. Media release

Neighborhood Meetings for Proposed Developments:

NOTE: This information is provided here as a courtesy only. Neighborhood meetings are required before developers submit certain land use applications to the County (for areas outside cities). These meetings provide a forum for the developer, affected CPO (Community Participation Organization), and nearby property owners to discuss the proposal informally.
