DragonTales  Weekly Newsletter
August 17, 2017

Dear St. George Families,

Last week we welcomed to our school 1095 terrific kids - your kids!  The first week went very well.  The first weeks are always very busy with everyone getting back into the school routine.

Tuesday we celebrated the Feast of the Assumption at our school Mass. Fr. Mike reminded us that St. George is a great place because of God's awesome love for us.  With Jesus as our guide, there is nothing we cannot do.  We hope to instill in our students that Jesus should be our role model and guide.  We also want students to learn that Jesus loves us and is always with us.  As we begin this new school year I encourage you to focus on the spirituality your family.  Is Jesus part of the daily life of your family?  Here are a few things you can do to help your family.
  • Share family mealtime at least four times a week - and talk.
  • Begin each meal with prayer thanking God for all blessings.
  • End each day with bedtime prayer - a great time to bond.
We are here as a school to assist and support you in the most important job you have - being a parent.  Parenting - and teaching - can be very challenging.  Supporting one another in our roles can make a better, more meaningful experience for our children.

Thank you for sending us your children.  Thank you for entrusting us with their education.  Hand - in - Hand with Jesus - and one another - Together we can give our kids the very best education possible.

God bless,

Jack Nelson
