Thru Aug 18 | Times & Prices Vary | MCA Denver
The Kids Were Alright is an eyeful, and alone well worth the price of admission to the MCA, but it also fits seamlessly into the history lessons told by a trio of spring shows piecing together the house that DIY built (including Basquiat Before Basquiat: East 12th Street, 1979-1980 and Roger Gastman's Wall Writers). A massive, no-holds-barred documentation of the modern tribalism of photographer Ryan McGinley's lower-Manhattan millennial milieu, Kids was curated in-house for MCA by Nora Burnett Abrams (as was Basquiat) and has received national recognition, a nice feather in the rogue museum's cap.

While creating, children practice the skills of imagining, planning, executing, and modifying ideas which sets an early foundation for STEM learning.

Thru Oct 1 | 10 am - 6 pm | Denver Art Museum | Gen. Adm.
Pre-Columbian art is full of human and supernatural figures in dramatic poses. Some clearly portray dance, while others appear to represent singing, oratory, drama, and ritual. The brothers also hosted the web series
The Super Late Morning Show  on ComedyCentral.com. Additionally, the bros starred in two seasons of the weekly sketch comedy series  Friends of the People  on TruTV, and they were featured in the FOX primetime series  The Grinder  starring Rob Lowe. This just in...some news should be fake. Luckily, savvy experts at Denver's own Bovine Metropolis Theater are stepping in to corner the market with their new, fully improvised show, "Fake Network News."
Performed in the style of Meet the Press, AC 360 and other cable news programs, FNN features interviews, recurring segments and round-table discussions between their fake news anchors and a 'virtual who's who' of counterfeit experts, pundits and commentators.
"The fakest of the fake. (@BovineMetro) Sad. So-called journalists make up all the facts. PATHETIC. Only I can do that. LOSERS."
~President Trump (note: this is a fake tweet, or IS it?)
While the Pundits might be fake, the issues are utterly real and provided by the audience. Gun control? Sure. Immigration? Why not. The ethics of pet squirrel fashion shows? Um, ok. The anchors, reporters and commentators at FNN are chomping at the bit to give you all the fake news you deserve. The FNN production staff is going rogue, unscripted and improvised. It's all fabricated on the spot, and in front of your lying eyes.

Denver has never seen anything quite like it!  "All-male, all-Shakespeare, all the time," says director Shannon Wood Rothenberg.  Theater-goers will find their intellects heartily entertained and their wit vigorously stimulated by the unlimited possibilities of improvisation coupled with the richness of William Shakespeare's legacy.

Sh*t-Faced Shakespeare:  Much Ado About Nothing  Performed with Drunken Cast Member  Fans of
Drunk History  and all its slurred education will fall over laughing at  Sh*t-Faced Shakespeare , which combines an entirely serious Shakespeare play with one completely inebriated cast member. For the last six years,
Sh*t-Faced Shakespeare  has been performed in the darkest corners and diviest bars in the U.K., and the cast is bringing the good time to Austin. Side-splitting, raucous and completely interactive, the show is fresh off sell-out runs at the Edinburgh and Brighton Fringe festivals, where a cast member drinks beer, wine and whiskey on stage, drunkenly sings the  Dawson's Creek  theme song and occasionally (accidentally, of course) bares a nipple or two. Brush up on your Bard knowledge, and head down to Spider House for  Much Ado About Nothing , because this is Shakespeare as you never knew you wanted to see him before.

See WALK WITH ME, the cinematic journey into the world of mindfulness and the Zen Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh. Filmed over three years and with unprecedented access, this visceral film is a meditation on a community who have given up all their possessions for a monastic life in rural France.
As the seasons come and go, the monastics' pursuit for a deeper connection to themselves and the world around them is amplified by insights from Thich Nhat Hanh's early journals, narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch.
