Pastor's Pondering
Healing Happens. As a first career (and still) R.N. and second career congregational care pastor I have always been drawn to the 1/3 of Jesus ministry that was healing. I know preaching and teaching are very important to our faith, now and especially
in Jesus day when God was doing a new thing but I often wonder if part of Jesus draw for many was that he
was not only curing people but healing them. Healing happens, is promised by God, and fulfilled in Christ Jesus and by the Spirit at the core of our relationship with God and each other.
I am excited to be with you on August 20th while Pastor Grant takes some time off. We will bless backpacks, ponder what might be in Jesus' backpack, explore the biblical narrative of the woman who challenged Jesus to heal her daughter and share in Holy Communion. We also pray that the weather gives us sacred space to worship outdoors!

Samuel Ephraim Applehans
Come celebrate with us as the grace of God poured out upon Samuel Ephraim! Join us for a full service of Holy Communion along with the baptism. We will have a small reception after the service and an open house at our new home (7513 385th Street, North Branch, MN) from 6:00-8:00 that evening.

This portion of the service will be cancelled if it rains.

STAGE COACH DAYS
SPLC would like to have a presence at Wyoming Stagecoach Days. This is a great way to put our name out into the community. We are not having the Fall Festival this year so this will be our community presence. In order to make this happen,
we need YOU!

Table Talk
Time for food,
Time for God,
Time together.
Table talk is an adult education opportunity here at St. Paul Lutheran combining food, God talk, and fellowship. This last year we taught small groups (limited to 10) how to cook a 30-40 min meal, then engaged a TED (technology, education and design) talk or other short presentation, exploring life and faith together. As we begin planning season 2, we are looking for your insight and perspective!
