Energy Efficient windows

When a single
pane window in your house is replaced with an energy-efficient window, the new window prevents heat from escaping in the winter, so you save energy by using your furnace or electric heater less while still staying comfortable. In the summer, energy-efficient windows keep the heat out, so the air conditioner does not run as often and you save electricity.
Here's what makes a window energy efficient:
1. A variety of d urable, low maintenance framing materials reduce heat transfer and help insulate better, such as fiberglass, vinyl and aluminum frames.
2.Two panes of glass, with an air or gas filled space in the middle insulates much better than a single pane of glass. Gas fills are odorless, colorless and non-toxic gases that insulates better than air.
3. LowE glass reflects infrared light keeping heat inside during the cold weather months and keeps the heat from outside during the summer.
Energy save solar powered skylight

Along with energy-efficient windows, you can also save money in electricity with solar venting skylights. The solar panel captures any available daylight and charges the highly efficient, fully concealed, battery operated skylight. The battery powered operator is the power source that opens and closes the skylight. Requires no wiring which makes for easy and cost effective installation. The solar vented skylight does not need direct sunlight to function, it will still operate on cloudy days. If you leave the skylight open and it begins to rain, the rain sensor will automatically close the skylight to prevent rain from getting in.

Green N Fit

Every year Beaulieu Home Improvement volunteers in helping the community in refacing Springfield and Holyoke. This year we had the opportunity to help out a Veteran in Holyoke who was in need of a few small projects. Our crew did an outstanding job in replacing his hatchway, a storm door, few windows, awning, the front porch was re-decked and a new roof was put on. Hundreds of volunteers attended this year.

Gutter Guard

It is important to clean gutters and downspouts in the Fall and Spring to prevent clogging and possible damage. Cleaning gutters can be a headache and time consuming. You can now install a gutter guard where it will keep large debris and a large amount of leaves out from the gutters. Gutter guards can be installed underneath the shingles nailed down (gutters might have to be removed and reinstalled). Leaves and debris will fall over the gutters and when it rains the gutters will drain properly without clogging.
