This Sunday, join New York Times bestselling and award-winning writer Marjorie Liu for a discussion on how comics -- and fiction -- can be used not only to entertain, but to comment on issues of race, gender, violence, and trauma.
Marjorie is best known for her fiction and comic books: her extensive work with Marvel includes the bestselling Han Solo series, X-23, and Black Widow: The Name of the Rose. Her newest work is MONSTRESS, a New York Times bestselling indie comic book series with Japanese artist (and X-23 collaborator) Sana Takeda. She teaches comic book writing at MIT, and she leads a class on Popular Fiction at the Voices of Our Nation (VONA) workshop.
