DALLAS UNITARIAN   |  November 11, 2016

This past Wednesday, Rev. Kanter shared a message about this week's election and what's next for us as a nation and religious community.
THIS SUNDAY @ FIRST UNITARIAN
This Sunday, at 10:00 or 11:30am, Rev. Kanter's sermon will deliver "Healing Words for a Divided World." We hope you'll join for us community, worship, and special music from our Sanctuary Choir and Gospel singer Suzi Byrd.

There will be Veterans' Day Receptions after both services, in Channing Hall. Those who've served our country and their families may stop by the special table to pick up a treat and enter a free raffle.

Calling all Sheep, Shepherds, and Stars! Our children's Christmas Pageant audition and sign-up will take place at 11:00 & 12:30, in Room 210.

Our Inquirers’ Class (11:30, the Parlor) topic will be History, Principles, and Sources.

This is the final Sunday to preorder poinsettias and fresh green wreaths, plus a few remaining pieces of chalice art jewelry. Stop by Channing Hall, or just look for the elves! Your support helps fund our 9th graders’ Heritage Trip.

Pints and Ponderings, for young adults (20s & 30s), will feature Carrie Stewart discussing Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ). 5pm, Windmill Lounge in Dallas.

THANK YOU to everyone who has turned in your 2017 Pledge! Your financial support makes it possible for us to be a home for progressive faith and inclusivity in Dallas. If you still need to confirm your 2017 pledge, please contact Cindy Moreland or complete the simple online form HERE.

PARKING: The  YMCA parking garage is now open for church-goers to park! Please leave parking spaces on Normandy and St. Andrews for our senior and mobility-impaired members.

You can contribute by Text this Sunday. Just text DALLASUU and the amount to 73256, then follow the link to complete your gift. More HERE.
DO YOU HAVE A CHILD TO DEDICATE?
Sunday, December 18, is the next opportunity for families to participate in our child dedication service. Interested parents need to register for a free class (Dec. 4) with our ministers exploring the core values parents hope to instill in their children and the spiritual meaning of dedication.
OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
There are many opportunities to help our community and neighbors in need this November. Our food and clothing drive for NDSM continues throughout the month, plus our regular shifts at CitySquare and the Food Bank!
