CROSS COUNTRY
SAM BOWERS-1ST EVER 7A CROSS COUNTRY STATE CHAMPION!
For only the 4th time in school history, a Milton student athlete is state cross country champion! Junior Sam Bowers (1st-16:06) bested a field of 171 runners to capture the state championship in a thrilling race that saw him pass Marietta's Hayden Tullos going up the final hill and extend his lead to the finish and the state title! Milton ( 3rd-124 pts) bested 20 schools in tying the schools best ever team finish at the state meet. After Bowers the Eagles had fellow junior Michael Malkowski ( 6th-16:31) join Bowers on the awards podium.

The Milton Lady Eagles ( 4th-155 pts) reached the awards podium for the 5th time in school history concluding the most successful season in the team's history. Reaching the awards podium for the 2nd straight year & duplicating her finish from 2015, senior captain Marie Repasy ( 6th-19:49) led the Milton team effort as she has done all season. Freshman Faith Bobak ( 11th-20:02) just missed the awards podium but was a factor in the top-10 of the race the entire contest.

SWIM & DIVE TEAM STARTS SEASON SCREAMING
The Milton Eagles Swim and Dive team kicked off the start to their season this weekend with impressive performances at the North Forsyth dive meet and the North Fulton relay meet. In diving, captain Cara Doll dominated, taking 1st place and earning her state cut out of the gate. Newcomer Lainey Mitelman placed 2nd and Cole Dobbs placed 5th overall in men's diving. While the final results of swimming are still being tabulated, it was clear that the Eagles will be a strong competitor this season. Swimming against four other Fulton county teams, they earned multiple first place finishes and came away with 2 relay state cuts. MJ Hewitt was awarded Swimmer of the meet for her breakout performance. Divers are headed next to Marist the Early Bird meet on November 5; the entire team travels up to Chattanooga for the McCallie Invitational November 18.

COLLEGE ADMISSION INFORMATIONCOLLEGEINFO
When it comes to college admissions, everyone has the same question: "What are my chances of getting in?" The answer is not always clear, partly due to the way colleges admit students. The most important data is not what you see posted on the school's website, rather it is data that represents the admission decisions of ACTUAL Milton students. We are implementing a new process to begin accumulating meaningful data that will help guide families through college applications.

STEP 1 - Complete the Senior Advisement Form
This will help your Counselor and the College and Career Center assist students with picking schools and planning applications.

If you have not completed this form it can be found here: https://goo.gl/forms/7PKWVGByxowjbykj1

STEP 2 - Complete the Milton High School College Decision Form
This form needs to be completed for each school to which you apply whether you are accepted, denied or deferred. You will be able to go back and edit this form as you receive admission decisions and scholarships, and then again when you decide which school you will attend.

This form can be found here:
https://goo.gl/forms/0aT0wJLpfL1Ge5nJ3

Finally, we are launching a new Facebook page to celebrate the Future of Milton 2017. Once you have decided which school you would like to attend, please share a photo and a little bit about your decision to attend that school.
